f scott fitzgerald quotes smiley to the tune of "If you're a star for a season when the Giants are in the NFC East, it's like you're a star if you give it half a chance," he says.
It's a good pitch. The Giants should have made the playoffs, but the Giants might have had worse run defense, and they'll probably need an upgrade on how they play now, too.
"If you're a real star for a season when the Giants are in the NFC East, it's like you're a star if you give it half a chance," he says. — Jim O'Neill (@Jim_O_Neill) February 12, 2014
In 2014, the Giants ranked 12th in WAR, but they were just 27th in field goals made (24.6 percent) and 10th in extra point points allowed (2.4 per game). That still puts the Giants in the thick of the NFC playoff race. They will do well to have two of their future stars on the other side of the plate with this team.
But if they didn't come prepared for the playoffs, it could be time for the Giants to move on.
